Nonprofits often need donations of all kinds to keep their operations going and deliver the essential services our community depends on. Organizations, businesses and individuals with items to give away often want to make sure they’re going directly to the people and places that need them most.
ConnectVA helps make the exchange of free stuff and in-kind donations easier. The Item Exchange is the place where you can search for items needed and available by local nonprofit organizations. Anyone can post free items they have available for donation.
Just visit connectva.maxxpotential.org/classifieds/ and sign in to get started!
Don’t forget to include contact information and clear delivery or pickup requirements. If you’re posting items needed, it’s a good idea to include why the items are needed or what your organization will do with them. If you’re posting items available, be clear about the physical condition of the items and don’t forget to ask if the nonprofit organization can issue a donation receipt for your taxes!

Quick Tip: Organizations can view all of their postings through their Organization Profile under the Go to menu near the top, right-hand corner of the page when you sign in. Individuals can view their recent activity through their Personal Profile by clicking on their name on also in the top, right-hand corner of the page once signed-in.
